Preparation for Work
Preparation for Work is a 3 week work readiness programme for adults looking to work in any of the following industries; Building & Construction, Administration, Hospitality & Retail, Security, Warehousing and Aged care. You will develop an industry standard CV, confidence and support to job hunt effectively. Best of all, we work with you to connect you to a great job opportunity in your field.

Realise your particular skills and strengths
Gain loads of new work readiness skills like budgeting, time management, communication confidence.
We also organise industry-specific training (e.g Site Safe, Certificate of Approval (COA), Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)).

How does it work?
You come in for 3 weeks to our training programme (Mon, Tue, Wed, and Fri) where we bring out your strengths, and teach you key skills that employers are looking for.
If you need it, we will enrol and pay for you to get industry-specific certificates or licences (e.g Site Safe, Certificate of Approval (COA), Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)).
We will also help you get your driver’s licence - learner, restricted, or full! To learn more about how we do that, click here.
After you complete the 3 weeks of training, we work with you to find work that is suitable for you.

Let your Work and Income case manager (or whoever you see when you make an appointment) know that your interested in Preparation for Work. They’ll send your details to us and we’ll contact you!
How much does it cost?
Nothing—it’s free! And we will pay travel expenses to come to our Manukau campus.
