Project Nikau - SkyCity Auckland

Attracting and retaining young talent is a continual challenge for every industry, and SkyCity is meeting that challenge head on.

Project Nikau is a SkyCity initiative that will employ 30 young people this year with intensive on-boarding, wrap around mentoring and a clear career pathway.  CadetMax is delighted to partner with SkyCity and in May 2019 we connected 13 young people from our work-readiness programme into this fantastic opportunity. 

Danian Te Aranui is one of those successful CadetMaxers at SkyCity who is now learning, earning and excelling as a ‘food and beverage busser’ at SkyCity’s Gusto Restaurant. We’re already preparing our next group of cadets who will be recruited into Project Nikau. 

CadetMax and the Auckland Business Chamber is thrilled to be working and partnering with organisations like SkyCity who are leading the way in best practice to support young people entering the workforce.
